InterGest was founded in 1972 as a Sàrl (société à responsabilité limitée) in Sarreguemines, France, by Dr. jur. Heinz Anterist.
Dr. Anterist had been working as a legal advisor for the transport company Anterist & Schneider and had become aware of the fact that clients needed a lot more than just logistic services in order to be able to sell in foreign countries. They also required assistance in establishing subsidiaries, book keeping, customs clearance, legal and tax matters.
Dr. Anterist searched for a provider of such services, but without success. He decided to fill the gap himself by launching a specialist business. The idea of InterGest was born.
