PROF. PETER ANTERIST: A FORWARD-THINKING ENTREPRENEUR, A COMMITTED NETWORKER, AND A FAMILY MAN AT HEART

Since 2001, Prof. Peter Anterist has led InterGest as its second-generation head, shaping the development of a network that now supports companies in more than 50 countries as they expand internationally. A lawyer and guest professor at CUFE University in Beijing, he stands for entrepreneurial continuity, international experience, and a clear conviction: successful expansion requires local expertise, reliable partners, and personal trust.

What sets him apart is his ability to combine professionalism with personal closeness. Peter Anterist thinks internationally, acts in partnership, and maintains his network not from a distance, but on the ground. He visits franchise partners personally, regularly shares insights from different regions, and consciously invests in relationships that last for years, sometimes even decades. “We are not only a family business, we are also a business family.” This sentence describes not only InterGest, but also the way he lives international cooperation.

This image also includes his private side. Peter Anterist is married and the father of four children. In a life shaped by appointments, markets, and frequent travel, he very much values support, reliability, and togetherness. “And for that, you need a great team at home and an organisation that runs smoothly – and I am lucky enough to have both.” For him, success is therefore not just a matter of strategy, but also of humanity.

Anyone who speaks with Peter Anterist about international business quickly realises that this is not only about figures, structures, and processes. It is equally about language, culture, and genuine interest in other people. Fluent in German, English, and French, he moves confidently between countries and mentalities. His openness to other ways of life is also reflected beyond the conference table, for example in his curiosity about local cuisine and the stories behind it. It is no coincidence that this mindset inspired the idea for the InterGest cookbook: a culinary journey through the global partner network and an expression of lived international connectedness.

His attitude is of course recognised by others and reflected in feedback from those around him. Gerhard Hain of ti communication puts it this way: “We are delighted to have Peter Anterist as a strong partner by our side in international business.” It is a wonderful compliment for an entrepreneur who never sees economic success as separate from trust, cultural openness, and personal commitment.

Prof. Peter Anterist thus represents a form of entrepreneurship that is more relevant today than ever: internationally experienced, firmly grounded in family values, curious about other cultures, and genuinely partnership-oriented in the best sense. It is precisely this combination that makes him, and the InterGest network he has shaped, so valuable for companies.
